EICR pre-inspection checklist

Provide full property address including the Flat/House number.
Full access to the electrical consumer unit. Remove any kind of obstruction to get clear access to the fusebox
Need access to all the bedrooms, kitchen, and bathrooms. If any rooms are not accessible then an observation will be written in the EICR report.
The main power should be connected and live. The PAYG meters should have enough credit.
The Sockets and switches need clear access for earth and polarity checks. Engineer remove sockets and switches and fit them again.
The main power switch can be shut down for 10-30 mins. So all the electrical appliances will be automatically off during this dead test.
Occupier/tenant needs to unplug sensitive electrical appliances during the EICR testing.
Protect your Children and pets in a safe place during the inspection. It's dangerous to play with electrician tools. So please keep a safe distance.
